Day 36: Penza to Moscow

We started at about 8:30 am. We were very excited that we will be reaching Moscow city by evening. The city we always heard as the capital of Soviets Republic and also earlier the capital of USSR.

The journey was more interesting than the earlier days of travel in Russia. The first advantage we felt was that we could locate better Café on the way. The petrol pumps had café attached to them. There were independent cafes also on the way.

As we were nearing the city, the Petrol pumps and the café became more frequent and better in quality. The Moscow city is very big and the traffic increased as we were nearing the city.

We reached hotel at about 10:30 pm

Moscow, on the Moskva river in western Russia, is the nation’s cosmopolitan capital. In its historic core is the Kremlin, a complex that’s home to the President and tsarist treasures in the Armoury. Outside its walls is Red Square, Russia’s symbolic centre. Moscow is the fifth most populous national capital by population.

We reached Moscow very late. We have two days’ stay here. We plan to visit sightseeing tourist spots tomorrow. Aditi and Avya also plan to return to Singapore on 23rd June from Moscow to Singapore.
